I don’t know why you have gotten the idea that your shoulders are in fact on your chest. Whenever I ask you to show me where your shoulders are, you just pat your chest with your right hand. Then I say no putting your hand on your shoulder, “THIS is your shoulder! THAT is your chest!” And you will just laugh and go back patting your chest as if you are telling me, “No, mom, all along you’ve been mistaken!”
The other day, when I asked you to show me where your nose was. And I’m glad that people in your world have noses as where my people have theirs. Then I asked you to show me where my nose was. Usually you just point at your own nose because it’s always about yourself. But this time, you got so close to my face, focused all your energy on your fore finger, and all of a sudden, stuck it up my left nostril and held it there for much longer than was appropriate. I believe it was your way of saying, “Just in case you want me to be specific.”
How can I not love you?!
