This chocolate devil’s food cake with espresso swiss meringue buttercream is probably one of my best. Not only the decoration, which I admit looks professional and elegant. But the taste is OH-MY-GODLY flavourful. The espresso buttercream is a total to-die-for. I was licking everywhere when frosting the cake.
Last year I made an Elmo cake for Ethan’s second birthday. It seemed pretty logical that this year should be Cookie Monster’s turn. As if the full house of Sesame Street characters and the constantly playing of TV shows are NOT ENOUGH. I don’t know how to explain that except MOTHERS ARE DUMB.
When it comes to think about what to make for my husband’s birthday — A BIRTHDAY CAKE FOR MY HUSBAND, not any other cakes which I would make for family dinner or stuff, I will try to incorporate some of his favourite food. Except he eats everything.
I was attempting to make a zucchini cake a bit special, and tried to use yellow zucchini. Well, apparently it doesn’t look very yellow-zucchni-ly. But it’s really tasty.
