I never skip breakfast. Maybe that’s the reason I will skip lunch sometimes when I am really busy. People wonder how it is possible that you are too busy for lunch when you are working from home. You have the flexibility to arrange schedules, you have no one to boss around, you can eat whenever you want. ALL TRUE! But it’s also true that when kids are not around you will want to accomplish as much as you can. Between client orders and website updates, there are deliveries, laundry, photo shoots, baking, cooking, vacuuming, grocery shopping… And everyday from school drop-off to pick-up, I only have five hours to tackle all these. Not to mention early dismissal days and my favourite, Pro-D Days when it’s really hard to be productive! I am literally in a motorbike mode everyday.
First of all, if you are intimated by tiramisu making, don’t be! Tiramisu is in fact one of the easiest desserts to make. And you know what, no baking is required! Just make sure you use good quality mascarpone cheese, you are good to go! And the result is a creamy and light yet also decadent and delicious show-stopping dessert.
Valentine’s Day is about red. And here is the thing, I can almost guarantee you that your boy friend or husband might not be really into a box of red heart-shaped chocolate or a red shirt or a pair of red socks, but they will pretty much like to taste a red velvet cake, especially if it’s made by you.
I can’t tell if it’s the crunchy streusel, or the creamy cream cheese filling, or the moist cakey muffin that makes these muffins so addictive.
I had one for breakfast and one for afternoon snack yesterday.
